Job Description:
Digital Agency Seeks Experienced WordPress Developer
- Design, develop and maintain high-performing WordPress websites and web applications
- Translate creative designs and wireframes into functional, responsive WordPress solutions
- Implement custom WordPress themes, plugins and integrations as per client requirements
- Optimize WordPress sites for speed, security and search engine performance
- Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or bugs in live WordPress sites
- Document code, processes and best practices for seamless knowledge transfer
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools and techniques
- Provide technical support and training to clients as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WordPress core development
- Hands-on experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Familiarity with WordPress best practices, security standards and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs and Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to debug complex issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience integrating WordPress with third-party tools and services
- Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile/Scrum
- Portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality WordPress projects
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
